'Illegal immigrants should be shot from helicopters like hogs': Storm over state lawmaker's immigration gaffe
A state legislator caused controversy yesterday by saying illegal immigrants should be treated like wild hogs - and shot by gunmen from helicopters. Kansas Republican representative Virgil Peck made the comments at a state spending meeting for controlling feral swine. Despite the outrage, he said he was only joking and that he 'was just speaking like a southeast Kansas person.'
